Gems per hour in Rise of Kingdoms: real numbers and how to raise them

Updated 2026-10-05

“How many gems per hour is normal?” is the question we hear most. The numbers below are not theory — they were measured in October 2026 on accounts our bots farm around the clock. After that we show what actually moves the number up.

How gem deposits work

A level 1 gem deposit holds 10 gems and a level 2 deposit holds 20 gems. A march gathers one deposit in roughly 7–10 minutes and does not need to go home after each one: it can walk on to the next deposit and keep everything it carries.

Your gathering bonus (talents, VIP, technology, items) is added when the march arrives home. That is why a full level 1 deposit shows up in the report as 10.6 to 12.6 gems on accounts with a +6% to +26% bonus. Each gem weighs 1,000 load, so a march with 500,000 load can carry about 500 gems before it must return.

Real numbers from our accounts

Measured on accounts gathering with 5 to 7 marches, home kingdom, October 2026:

What we measuredTypical value
Gathering speed of one march (while gathering)60 – 90 gems per hour
Share of time spent gathering70 – 90% in a good spot, 45 – 70% in a poor spot
March speed on the mapabout 9 km per minute
Gathering bonus seen in reports+6% to +26%
Gems per account per day — home kingdom2,500 – 8,000 (best day so far: 7,910)
Gems per account per hour — home kingdom100 – 330
Gems per account per day — KvK10,000 – 20,000
Gems per account per hour — KvK420 – 830

KvK: two to three times more gems

Most numbers above are for the home kingdom, where almost every deposit is level 1 or 2. In KvK the map is full of level 3 deposits (about 30 gems each) — our KvK accounts gathered nothing else. That is why a KvK account farms 10,000 – 20,000 gems per day (about 420 – 830 per hour), two to three times a home kingdom account.

The simple formula

Gems per hour ≈ marches × gathering speed × share of time gathering. Example: 5 marches × 70 gems/h × 80% = 280 gems per hour. Every part of the formula can be improved, and the last one — time lost walking — is usually the biggest leak.

Five ways to raise your gems per hour

  1. Fix your location first. Deposits behind a Pass your alliance does not hold are out of reach, and long walks eat gathering time. Near some of our accounts 40–57% of the gems were behind a closed Pass.
  2. Use every march slot. Each extra march adds roughly the same amount again — a 6th and 7th march raise income by 20–40%.
  3. Send real gathering commanders. Gathering-speed and load skills plus a gathering talent build raise the speed of every march.
  4. Keep a gathering speed boost running while you farm — it multiplies the gathering part of the formula.
  5. Chain deposits on one trip. Let a march gather several nearby deposits and go home at 500–1,000 gems instead of walking home after every deposit.
